Nitika Meena | Program Lead
Nitika is a Program lead for the Schools of Specialised Excellence, Govt. of Delhi, at The Education Alliance.
She has experience of over 6 years in the development sector, with a focus on education. Previously, she has worked with Eklavya Foundation for over 5 years – managing projects towards improving government schools’ systems and teacher professional development in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. She has worked closely with the Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, towards improving science education in middle school in 400 Ashram Shalas (residential schools for tribal children).
She has also presented the socio-emotional learning domain tools developed by the India Team at the Global Forum, Schools2030 held in Porto, Portugal in June 2023. Prior to this she was working with Arushi Society in exploring alternate educational spaces and biodegradable menstrual hygiene products.
Nitika is an engineer by training, post which she pursued her Master’s in Social Work from TISS, Mumbai. Her interest lies in assessment and early childhood education.
