Umika Chanana | Program Manager

Umika Chanana is a Program Manager at The Education Alliance (TEA), where she leads initiatives to implement education reforms in collaboration with the Government of Delhi. Her passion for education policy and reform drives her commitment to transforming India’s primary and higher education systems.

Prior to TEA, Umika held consultancy roles at Charities Aid Foundation and the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights, supporting policy reform and child welfare initiatives. As a Change Maker in Education Fellow with SCERT, Delhi, she worked closely with stakeholders to enhance policy impact. Umika’s research experience includes projects with Pratham, Brookings India, UNESCO (Category 2 Center), and the Wildlife Institute of India.

A graduate in Political Science from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, and a Master of Public Policy from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, Umika brings a strong foundation in policy research and practical reform to her work at TEA.
