ITI REFORM, PUNJAB

The Education Alliance (TEA) has added the ITI Reform Project to its list of programs in Punjab. The aim is to build a future-ready workforce through industry collaboration, digital transformation, and governance strengthening. As the strategic Project Management Unit (PMU) partner, TEA will drive reforms in 10 select ITIs in phase 1, focusing on industry-aligned curriculum, infrastructure upgrades, and faculty development. Key initiatives include fostering industry partnerships for internships and placements, enhancing IT/MIS systems, and providing career counseling and skill-building workshops.

With data-driven decision-making and stakeholder engagement, TEA aims to modernize ITI education for lasting impact..

High Placement Rates through Industry Partnerships: Forge long-term partnerships with local industries to ensure consistent apprenticeship and employment opportunities exceeding 90% of the graduating students

Enhanced Skill Development and Industry Exposure: Equip students with cutting-edge technical skills aligned with industry demand in trades such as advanced manufacturing, COPA, electrician, and other high demand trades.

Reduced Dropouts: Reduce dropout rates to less than 5% through targeted student support services, a reimagined learning experience, and clarity on a career path.

Increased Aspirations : A threefold increase in applications to these ITIs within five years, positioning vocational education as a preferred choice for students in Punjab.

Leadership and Reputation: Establish these ITIs as models of excellence in vocational training, inspiring replication across the state and raising Punjab’s profile in skill development nationally.
