Schools of Eminence (SoE)

The Punjab Government’s School of Eminence (SoE) initiative seeks to revolutionize education in government schools by promoting holistic student development and preparing them for the 21st century. SoEs provide enriching learning experiences through innovative teaching practices, world-class infrastructure, and visionary leadership. These schools aim to create safe, joyful environments that nurture curiosity and support students’ physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

SoEs are designed as models of excellence, fostering exemplary school leaders and promoting scalable solutions for quality education. Their framework is built on five pillars:

Students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, career guidance, and inclusive learning spaces led by inspiring educators.

Implementation & Scale

SoEs are setting new benchmarks in education, inspiring transformation statewide. TEA has set up a Project Management Unit (PMU) to oversee the implementation of the project. The first SoE was inaugurated in September 2024.

Currently, 118 government schools have been transformed into SoEs, with 118 senior secondary schools across Punjab’s 23 districts selected for this initiative. Catering to grades 9-12, these schools admit:

of students from other institutions through an aptitude-based selection process

Implementation & Scale
