Sanjay Kumar | Program Lead

Sanjay Kumar heads the Quality and Innovation Cell in the Office of School Education Minister, Government of Punjab. He works closely with the state’s political and administrative leadership to design and implement programs to drive systemic change. He leads and orchestrates state education programs by weaving partnerships with different CSOs and nurturing key relationships to amplify impact.

Sanjay has 11+ years of diverse experience in school education, CSR portfolio management, program design and implementation, governance strategies, partnerships development, and systemic reforms. He is a Teach for India alumnus and during his fellowship, he co-founded Samarthya to ensure democracy and decentralisation in public school governance. Sanjay was also the PMU lead at the office of Principal Secretary, Department of School Education Punjab, for the globally recognised Punjab Education Collective, in the state of Punjab.

A computer engineering graduate, Sanjay holds a deep passion for social impact and firmly believes in nurturing relationships and dreaming big.
